The province is divided into eight economic zones specialized in particular fields. Zone 2 (Phu Bai) specializes in processing, machinery, fibre, electronics, computers, textiles, etc.

Zones 3 and 4 (Tu Ha and Phong Dien) are industrial areas for the construction, processing, mechanics, electronics, ceramics, and textile and shoe manufacturing. In zone 5 (Phu Da) you will find mineral treatment plants, feed for aquaculture, livestock and poultry, as well as cement production. With its numerous mines, Zone 6 (La Fils) specializes in mineral processing. Finally, zones 7 and 8 (Quang Vinh and Dot) are specialized in processing, production, and printing for the Paquet brand.
