According to the draft plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam will reopen some destinations from November and is expected to fully open to international visitors from June 2022. .

In the recent meeting, the National Administration of Tourism informed that domestic tourism will restart from November this year. Travel activities will initially apply to travelers arriving from safe destinations where the pandemic is under control. Moreover, visitors must strictly comply with Covid-19 prevention measures including vaccine certificate, negative Covid-19 test result (PCR or rapid test), health declaration, ” 5K messages” and use health applications as required by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

Previously, Phu Quoc was selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to pilot the program to welcome international guests according to package tours from November 2021 to March 2022. Then Ha Long, Hoi An, Tran Dynasty, Da Lat. will be the next destinations in the plan to open for domestic tourism from December 2021 to June 2022.

Other provinces are cautiously asking the National Administration of Tourism and discussing with relevant agencies to have certain regulations on tourism to be ready to reopen.
