Day 2: Sightseeing in Hanoi

Morning pick up and enjoy a day sightseeing Hanoi city including Ho Chi Minh complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace, Stilt House and One Pillar Pagoda). Continue to visit the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university. Lunch at local restaurant. Then, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Return to Hanoi Old Quarter to join a walking tour to discover daily life. Return to the hotel. Dinner is your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi> Ha Long

Morning pick up and transfer to Ha Long Bay. Arrive in Ha Long at noon and board our traditional wooden boat/excursion. Enjoy your time for relaxing, sightseeing and swimming. Visit the Floating Fishing Village and swim if the weather permits. Meals are included. Overnight on board.

Day 4: Ha Long> Hanoi> Night train to Lao Cai

Wake up on the bay to the sound of waves and birds to welcome the new day. Watch the sunrise over the bay and, after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone cave. Walk back to the boat for a final view of Halong Bay while heading back to the pier. The car takes the group back to Hanoi and overnight. Dinner is your own. Free shuttle to station for your overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on board.

Day 5: Lao Cai > Sapa – Walking to the Village

Early morning to Lao Cai. Transfer to Sapa with breathtaking scenery (home to many Vietnamese ethnic minorities) with our local guide. Have a local breakfast in Sapa before walking to the villages. Sneak through the market and leave the bustling town behind before descending downhill to the idyllic Cat Cat village. Stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station for a while. Hike a trail through rice fields and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along a narrow river. Head to Y Linh Ho village of the Black Hmong, where you can rest while lunch near the river is served. Going to Muong Hoa valley, passing Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong and Ta Van village of the Giay. Overnight at Giay ethnic house. Walk along the valley to enjoy the view as well as swim in the nearby river. Dinner and homestay with local people.

Day 6: Walking more – Sapa> Night train Back to Hanoi

Depart for Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dao people after breakfast. Hiking through the bamboo forest of Hoang Lien National Park. Pass by a romantic waterfall, rest and enjoy the surroundings. You will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. Continue going towards Su Pan, a small village located by the road after luch. Return to Sapa by car. Free until the time to move to Lao Cai station for the night train back to Hanoi. Dinner is your own. Overnight on board.
