Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has entered the Top 10 best airports in the world by Skytrax, an international air transport rating organization based in the United Kingdom. on the list of 10 best airports in the world.

Serving 20-25 million passengers by 2021, Tan Son Nhat ranks 10th on the list while the first place belongs to Heathrow Airport in London.

In addition to passenger numbers, the ranking is also based on passenger opinions about the infrastructure, quality of service, crew and processes of more than 500 airports worldwide.

Skytrax has mentioned on its website that the survey uses 2020 air traffic statistics, which bring together airports that handle similar customer volumes to provide appropriate analysis.

Tan Son Nhat welcomes about 22 million passengers in 2020 while this number is 40 million in 2019 when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Vietnam. The airport also recently upgraded its terminals with more screening facilities and received an Airport Health Certificate for its effective Covid-19 prevention measures.
