To attract domestic and international tourists, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, southern Vietnam is considering a plan to promote local tourism to become a country specializing in marine sports by 2025.

Accordingly, many water sports will be exploited at Hon Rom – Mui Ne and Ham Tien tourist areas including paragliding, kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing or sandboarding.

In addition, Doi Duong – Thuong Chanh beach resort is another chosen place to organize beach activities such as beach volleyball, football, handball, cycling, cross-country running.

Located on the Southeast coast, Phan Thiet is sunny and windy all year round but has few storms. As a result, the city government is coordinating with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to establish interesting and unique marine sports products to meet the diverse needs of tourists.

Phan Thiet plans to regularly organize international sports tournaments with activities such as kitesurfing, yachting or hot air balloon festivals.
