Hue is highly appreciated by international travel magazines and channels
Recently, Hue has been continuously evaluated by prestigious travel magazines and channels in the world as a potential tourist destination.
First, CNBC channel mentioned Central Vietnam, including Hue city, when listing 7 lesser-known destinations that tourists can visit after the pandemic. The channel argues that tourism trends are changing from big cities to smaller cities. It also suggests international tourists to Hoi An ancient town, luxury hotels outside the center of Da Nang, historical sites of Hue and My Son outside Hanoi, Ha Long Bay in the north or Ho Chi Minh City Minh in the South.
Second, Idealmagazine has listed Hue as one of the 10 ideal destinations of Southeast Asia for food. “Bun Bo Hue” (a type of vermicelli served with pork, blood and beef) and “Banh xeo” (Vietnamese pancakes served with raw vegetables and dipping sauce) are two typical specialties mentioned. Dong Ba Market in Hue is highly appreciated with countless attractive food stalls.
Third, Bach Ma National Park was ranked by The Culture Trip channel as the best national park in Vietnam. Located in the west of Hue city, Bach Ma National Park possesses dense forests, green pine forests, ancient French architectural villas and spectacular mountain scenery.

Last but not least, in April 2021, Travel + Leisure Magazine researched Instagram Data and revealed Hai Van Pass connecting Hue and Da Nang as one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Thanks to reporting about 52,000 “check-in” photos with this 20km long pass on Instagram, Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson likened Hai Van to a pass of the ocean and clouds or one of the coastal roads.
