After a period of social distancing, travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City have resumed tour services after launching pilot tours to the southern “green zone”.

Following the success of 8 tours to Can Gio and Cu Chi district organized for more than 1,000 health workers in epidemic areas, Saigontourist Travel Service Company is the leading unit in organizing package tours to the following destinations. This “green zone” follows a closed program. The company has also signed a travel contract with Bao Viet Insurance to protect visitors in case of coronavirus infection during the tour. Tours to Can Gio cost 1.6 million VND and 680,000 VND/person, respectively, departing from October 15 on weekends.

Since October, Vietravel company has also reopened tours to “green areas” in Ho Chi Minh City with the capacity of transportation and travel services not exceeding 50%. Vietravel’s representative shared that this not only gradually restores the economy, but also contributes to studying the needs and preferences of tourists, thereby creating suitable tourism products in the future.

Travel companies are encouraged to connect with relevant agencies to apply “tourist bubbles” to design tours to green areas.
