The Provincial People’s Committee has just announced the plan to organize the 6th Culture – Tourism Week entitled “Through the heritage of Hoang Su Phi terraced fields” in 2021. The event is expected to take place from September 4 to 30. and is one of the important festivals showing the cultural identity of the ethnic groups in the West of Ha Giang.

Hoang Su Phi terraced fields are well-known with a large area expanding in 6 communes of Ban Luoc, Ban Phung, Ho Thau, Nam Ty, San Sa Ho and Thong Nguyen. Thanks to the great natural beauty, especially in the ripe rice season in September and early October, this place was recognized as a National Heritage on September 16, 2012.

There are many activities and programs during the event such as the 2nd Hmong Ethnic Culture Festival, Vinh Quang Town Adventure Motorcycle Racing, Upland Market, 2nd Paragliding Competition in 2021, etc.

This is a vital event not only to promote Ha Giang’s tourism potential but also to gradually turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector of the province. The People’s Committee also committed to arrange suitable programs with a suitable time frame as well as strictly follow Covid-19 prevention measures throughout the event.
