Grab “scored” when launching new feature “silent ride”

When the driver receives the ride that the passenger chooses to use the “Silent ride” feature, a message will be sent to the GrabChat section of the ride to notify the driver.

The “Silent ride” feature will be tested by Grab from June 27 in the Vietnamese market.

This feature is selected when customers want to limit exchange and contact while using Grab’s transportation services.

When the driver receives the ride that the passenger chooses to use the “Silent ride” feature, a message will be sent to the GrabChat section of the ride to notify the driver.

When a passenger requests to use the “Silent ride” feature, the driver can still exchange with the passenger some necessary information to serve the trip such as greeting, confirming the trip information, safety reminders (fasten seat belt, wear helmet or open/close right door), confirm destination as route.

During the journey, when the driver receives an emergency call, please talk to the passenger before answering the phone and speak just enough to hear. In case you want to use audio devices during the trip (Radio, MP3…), you must discuss with the passenger before using and adjust the sound just enough or at the request of the passenger.
