The board reported that since April 27, the province has recorded 5,368 Covid-19 patients in all cities, towns and districts. The patients were found at many companies and areas where many workers are living.

Most of the patients are related to 46 Covid-19 clusters, including up to 42 not yet been brought under control.

Binh Duong is now home to 11 Covid-19 treatment facilities which are serving nearly 2,500 patients, including 44 pregnant women, 38 aged over 65 and 94 in worsening conditions.

To date, 360 patients in the province have been discharged from hospital, while 13 others have died of the virus.

Despite social distancing measures being imposed in the province, the province has continued witnessing a sharp rise in new cases.

The province is providing Covid-19 tests for around 1.8 million local residents, using both quick and PCR Real Time methods. The priority is given for workers at companies and those in vulnerable areas.
