Travel+Leisure has just announced a list of 14 unique jungle resorts in the world. In which, Vietnam participates with a resort in Phu Quoc (Kien Giang).
These 14 resorts have in common that they are eco-resorts, located in a secluded location, close to nature and wildlife.
Topping the list is Gaia Amazon resort (Ecuador). Mango Bay Resort in Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) ranked 4th.
The American travel magazine introduced a resort in Phu Quoc located at Ong Lang beach, Cua Duong commune. The resort has 40 bungalows, surrounded by mountains and forests, with a garden area of about 20 hectares.
This resort is like a coastal oasis. The highlight of this eco-resort is the use of sustainable local building materials such as wood, lime, gravel, water-saving toilets, outdoor bathrooms, etc.
The resort also focuses on developing outdoor fun activities, close to nature for visitors to experience. Guests can choose to snorkel, kayak, play beach volleyball, introduced by Travel+Leisure.
In terms of space, Travel+Leisure describes the resort as having a simple style, close to nature with the main wooden furniture, decorated with many tropical trees. Each bungalow has mosquito nets.
This magazine commented that Phu Quoc tourism has developed strongly in recent years. From a remote place with unspoiled jungle, Phu Quoc has grown into a beach tourism paradise, with more and more luxury resorts appearing in harmony with nature.
Besides the development of resort services, Phu Quoc also has many entertainment services such as clubs, casinos, shopping complexes and commercial centers.
Although many modern services have developed, ecotourism in Phu Quoc is still focused on exploiting by many businesses, Travel+Leisure said.
In Southeast Asia, three other representatives also appeared in the list of the most beautiful forest resorts in the world, including Shinta Mani Wild (Cambodia), Datai Langkawi (Malaysia), Soneva Kiri (Thailand) and Mandapa (Indonesia).
