- A man was caught growing eight kilograms of cannabis at a house in Ho Chi Minh City after police discovered his advertisements for the illicit drugs on Facebook.
- Police in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City confirmed on Wednesday that they had searched a house on Long Thuan Street, Long Phuoc Ward and discovered 140 cannabis trees and five plastic bags containing dried cannabis, which amounted to a total of eight kilograms.

Officers also confiscated several tools used for growing the cannabis.
The house belongs to Doan Cong Danh, 26, from the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.
Danh said he began growing cannabis for personal use in October 2020 and started selling his product through Facebook as his harvest became redundant.
According to his confession, he had only sold to three customers so far.

In related news, Thu Duc City police on Monday caught a 49-year-old man red-handed transporting 50 grams of crystal meth on a motorbike along Kha Van Can Street in Hiep Binh Chanh Ward.
The man claimed he had bought the narcotics from an unidentified dealer in District 8 for VND15 million (US$654) and intended to resell the drugs for a profit.
On March 11, officers in Thu Duc City also caught a 33-year-old man with five plastic bags of crystal meth.
A police investigation into the case led to the arrest of two women, one in Thu Duc City and the other in southern Binh Duong Province, and the confiscation of approximately 76 grams of crystal meth.
