15 countries and territories in the proposal to resume international flights
On November 8, the Ministry of Transport submitted to the Prime Minister the reopening of international routes to 15 countries and territories in 3 phases.
Accordingly, 15 locations in the proposal are China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Japan, Korea, UK, Australia, France, Germany and Russia.
The plan is divided into 3 phases, where each phase applies unique requirements to tourists. The first phase in the first quarter of 2022 will not require passenger lists from the authorities, immigration requirements and health checks.
In phase 2 in Q2 2022, there will be no longer need for centralized quarantine for foreigners with vaccination passports on regular flights.
In the final phase, regular international flights will be expanded based on the current situation of the pandemic in Vietnam and around the world.
The ministry emphasized the important role of determining the specific time to conduct 3 phases and evaluate pilot international flights to Vietnamese destinations such as Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Quang Ninh, and Da Nang. and Quang Nam.
